I am a husband to my wife Rachel, father to eight children, and a craftsman with a passion for designing, building, and creating projects and art from earthy mediums like steel, wood, and leather. After years of the corporate grind, I had a strong desire to use my gifts and creativity in a unique way, more fully live out my vocation to marriage and family, and to be present in my kids’ daily lives. Warhorse Artistry is the realization of this desire, blending my love of creativity, engineering and old tradition into one family-run business.
This dream has been a decade in the making: I set up shop in my garage, and quickly discovered that I simply could not afford or even find the tools and equipment needed to move forward. Thus began the long journey of designing, forming, and fabricating many of my own tools and equipment. After many thousands of hours over the last 10 years – learning, pondering, cutting, grinding, drilling, turning, welding, riveting, heating, forging, pressing, painting, etching, struggling, laughing, bleeding and even crying – I am finally ready and eager to share what I, with the support of many friends and family, have created in Warhorse Artistry.
